Clinical consultation is crucial to being an effective therapist. This group provides an opportunity to be a part of a community that supports you.

  • Why join this consultation group

This group can help you build your skills and confidence. You get the benefit of feedback from me as well as from other group members to gain a variety of perspectives. We discuss challenging cases, process countertransference, encourage healthy boundaries, and promote clinical growth. This is all in an environment that is nonjudgmental, affirming, and inclusive.

  • My approach

I am a Certified Supervisor (NASW Certified Clinical Social Work Supervisor) who enjoys providing consultation to help you grow, feel supported, and be effective with your clients. My most frequently use modalities include AEDP, DBT, CBT, ACT. I also draw from my wide range of training in trauma, motivational interviewing, body-based approaches, and mindfulness self-compassion. I have been providing clinical supervision since 2001, first as a field instructor for the UNC School of Social Work to train MSW students and later, providing clinical supervision to pre-licensed and licensed clinicians at Duke University Medical Center and Easterseals of North Carolina outpatient mental health clinic.
